Hi, I’m Andrew Noakes.

Like many men, I had mixed feelings about becoming a dad. I kept putting off the decision because I didn’t know how to make it.

But the further I kicked the ‘dad question’ down the road, the more stuck I got, unable to move forward in one direction or the other. I looked for advice and resources, but there was nothing aimed at men in my position. The indecision continued, and it started to affect both me and my wife as we were forced to put our future on hold.

When I finally worked out my answer, I realised it needn’t have taken so long.

What I needed was a structured way to think about it. Not just going round in circles in my head, writing endless pros and cons lists, or waiting for time to resolve the question for me, but a purposeful, practical framework that provides a clear conclusion.

Using that structured approach, I now provide coaching, advice, and resources to help men like you make an informed decision about fatherhood – whether your answer turns out to be yes or no.

My background

Outside of The Dad Question, I’m the founder of a successful online business providing services to authors. Before that, I worked in international affairs.

I live by the coast in Wales with my wife, son, and two energetic golden retrievers. When I’m not working, I’m usually out on the coastal path, trying to bring some order to my garden, or cooking over the barbecue.

My own answer to the dad question was yes, but I’m impartial on what your answer should be. Although there are only two possible outcomes, your characteristics, experiences, and thoughts about fatherhood are unique. I’m here to give you the tools and framework to find the right answer for you.
